People
have always been fascinated by the beginnings of human life. Generations
have reasoned about it and built beliefs and rituals around it. For
some decades now, professionals in various fields from genetics to psychology
have with growing interest explored the importance of the prenatal experience
for the individual's life, something always instinctively perceived
by sensitive parents.
In
psychotherapy and treatment nowadays, there is an increasing awareness
of the long-term impact of prenatal experience and bonding. To support
this development the congress aims to introduce a broad audience to
its modern scientific research, to personal and professional experiences
and to innovative approaches from biological, psychological, social
and transpersonal perspectives in this field.
The
awareness of the importance of the quality of prenatal life leads directly
to the question of practical preventive measures. These should be aimed
at improving the contact between the parents and the unborn, at positively
affecting the relationship between mother and father and at reducing
the frequently unconscious stress experienced by the mother during pregnancy
and birth. The congress therefore also focuses on the prevention of
emotional and physical damage to the developing child and its parents.
The
International Congress on Embryology, Therapy and Society is intended
as a platform joining together different schools and different disciplines
